My goal is to contribute to the success of Vivantes and to be perceived by our customers as the healthcare provider that offers fast, reliable and, above all, high-quality medical assistance in all situations.
In which areas does Vivantes deal with international patients and the persons accompanying them? And how are you personally involved?
The treatment of patients from abroad has a long tradition at Vivantes. This is due to our doctors, who not only treat about half a million Berliners every year, but also numerous patients from all over the world. In addition, Vivantes International Medicine is a department specialized in the needs of international patients. The team supports patients and their relatives throughout the entire process, from the initial contact, through the organisation of the stay, the care during the treatment, to aftercare.
My task is to create the best possible conditions for our patients, Vivantes' colleagues and my team. My goal is to contribute to the success of Vivantes and to be perceived by our customers as the healthcare provider that offers fast, reliable and, above all, high-quality medical assistance in all situations.
What particular services does Vivantes offer international patients and their accompanying persons?
We are fortunate to have a large number of medical lighthouses, such as the Prostate Center Berlin, the Vivantes Breast Center, excellent endocrine surgery and numerous certified oncology centers and specialist departments, to name but a few.
With Vivantes International Medicine, we can ensure that patients feel comfortable and in good hands with us. The team works closely with its colleagues in the clinics to achieve this. Communication plays a decisive role in this. Thanks to our in-house interpreters, who know both our doctors and the needs of our patients, we can offer all-round care from which everyone benefits.

Are you planning new measures in the Medical Tourism sector? Can you share your vision with us?
Our goal for the coming years is to tailor our services even more specifically to the needs of our customers. Among other things, we want to simplify access to Vivantes by giving patients the opportunity to first of all deal with their illness and the various treatment options at Vivantes.
We will also make new offers to our patients. The focus here will be in particular on services made possible by the progressive digitalisation of medicine. I am sure that these and other steps will enable us to continue to convince patients of Vivantes and a treatment in Berlin.
