Berlin, 12 December 2024 Berlin Showcase: The Madrid Design Festival 2025 (6 February - 15 March 2025) welcomes Berlin as a guest city and offers a stage for the dynamic design scene of the ‘UNESCO City of Design’ with contributions by Gonzalez Haase AAS, Frank Oehring and other Berlin creatives.
We had the pleasure of attending the kick-off press conference for the Madrid Design Festival 2025 on 12 December 2024 - to announce Berlin as the guest city!
We’re thrilled that the “UNESCO City of Design” Berlin will take the stage as a guest city at the renowned festival, showcasing our city’s dynamic creativity and innovative spirit.
Two program-highlights have been revealed already: Gonzalez Haase AAS will conceive a Berlin-Scenography as the framework for the main-presentation at “Fiesta Design” from February 12 till 22. Frank Oehring the creator of ICC Berlin’s light sculpture will be represented in the group show “La Línea Sueña” opening 6 February 2025.

visitBerlin is inviting designers, artists, and creatives to submit their work to be integrated into the curated showcase at Fiesta Design during the Madrid Design Festival.
How to participate
- Submit your idea or work representative for Berlin, from graphic and product design to culinary or digital creations
- We are looking for easy to transport/integrate works evolving around topics such as improvisation and transformation, future challenges and luxuries
- Send your proposal (1 page max) via email to: kultur@visitberlin.de
- Deadline: January 2, 2025
The curatorial team, including Gonzales Haase AAS, representatives of Berlin, and other design professionals, will select the successful submissions.
