Jürgen Amann appointed new co-managing director at visitBerlin
- 53-year-old tourism professional succeeds Burkhard Kieker

Berlin, 16 December 2025 The Supervisory Board of Berlin Tourismus & Kongress GmbH has appointed 53-year-old Dr Jürgen Amann as the new Managing Director of Destination Marketing & Commercial, succeeding Burkhard Kieker. Amann, who has been head of KölnTourismus GmbH since February 2020, will take up his new position on 1 June 2026. The doctor of economic geography prevailed over a field of well over 100 applicants. Born in Upper Bavaria, he came to Cologne via positions in Ingolstadt and Dresden. Kieker, who has been managing director since 2009, will reach the statutory age limit when his contract expires in the summer of 2026.

There is much to be done, such as consistent digitalisation and increasing own revenue."
