- Press spokesperson Christian Tänzler is taking early retirement
Berlin, 28 April 2026 After 20 years, Christian Tänzler, long-serving press spokesperson for visitBerlin, will take early retirement on 30 April. The role will not be refilled in its current form; in future, press relations will be shared across several team members.

During this time, he has been a valued contact for media partners in Germany and abroad and has played a key role in shaping public perception of visitBerlin. We thank him most sincerely for this and wish him all the very best for the busy retirement ahead.”
In future, Christian Tänzler will devote more time to his work as tourism expert on the federal executive board of the Allgemeinen Deutschen Fahrrad-Clubs (ADFC).
From 1 May, Miranda Meier, Katharina Zierenberg and Tobias Maul will oversee the visitBerlin press office. Katharina Zierenberg has been part of visitBerlin’s press team since 2011, Tobias Maul since 2012. Miranda Meier is moving to the press office from the visitBerlin Berlin Convention Office, where she has been responsible for strategic communications since 2024. The team will continue to be led by Susanne Schreiber, Head of Communications at visitBerlin.
