From 13 –18 January 2016, we were in Vienna at Ferien, the largest Austrian travel trade fair, where we presented the destination of Berlin at the German stand and promoted the Berlin WelcomeCard. In May, we joined the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) Roadshow in Graz and Salzburg, and offered workshops for travel multipliers from secondary cities in Austria. On 24 November in Vienna, the traditional Berlin Die erste Weihnachtsfeier des Jahres (The first Christmas party of the year) invited travel industry and press representatives to an evening culminating in a team cooking event. The delicious dishes from the classic Berlin meatball to a Hokaido risotto fused traditional and modern flavours quite in keeping with the style of Berlin’s innovative culinary scene.
