Clean and Green Berlin

Together with partners such as Berlin hotels belonging to visitBerlin Partnerhotels e.V. and the Berlin Event Network (BEN) e.V., Berlin’s green spaces and parks have been cleared of litter carelessly discarded by members of the public every year since 2014. Through on-site discussions, the campaign has promoted greater care and a even more beautiful city.

Every year, up to 40 volunteers take up the invitation to take part in community clean-up events, working together to clean and clear rubbish from Boxhagener Platz, Volkspark Friedrichshain, the Planufer in Kreuzberg, Monbijoupark, the areas around Anhalter Bahnhof, Elise-Tilse-Park and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park. It’s good for the environment and for team spirit. The aim of these on-site efforts is to promote a cleaner Berlin.

Sustainability is a key issue for visitBerlin. We are proud that, through our activities on World Cleanup Day and beyond, we are setting an example for greater environmental awareness. Fundamentally, it is important for Berlin’s hotels – as hosts to visitors to Berlin and as part of Berlin’s sustainable visitor economy – to act in a sustainable and responsible manner.
