Thanks to a combination of convenient air links, exciting press coverage and, above all, enthusiastic word-of-mouth recommendations, Israeli tourists are increasingly interested in visiting Berlin, making this a growing market.
In Israel, Berlin is regarded as a trendy, good value destination, and the figures for the number of overnight stays are growing strongly.
We have been focusing intensively on the market in Israel for some years. In May 2016, we participated in the German National Tourist Board’s Germany Travel Workshop in Tel Aviv, which attracted around 100 press and travel industry professionals. In Tel Aviv in September, working together with the Goethe-Institut, we also organised the Berlin Club Event, designed to address end customers and showcase BERLIN 365/24, our main theme of the year.
