Berlin – Always now: The German capital at ITB 2026
- visitBerlin and numerous partners present the capital region at Hub27
- In focus: Berlin's annual highlights for 2026, "Crafted in Berlin" and the reopening of the Pergamon Museum in 2027
Berlin, March 2026 From 3 to 5 March 2026, Berlin will be presenting itself together with Brandenburg and BER Airport, as well as numerous other partners, at ITB Berlin in Hub27 (Stand 304). To mark the 60th anniversary of the world's leading tourism trade fair, the capital is focusing on a new stand design and a wide range of topics: from internationally renowned cultural and show highlights to products from Berlin manufacturers.
Burkhard Kieker, CEO of visitBerlin: "Congratulations, ITB, on 60 years. Hardly any other trade fair represents Berlin and the concepts of freedom, tolerance and understanding as much as the tourism exchange with visitors from almost every country in the world. As an international stage, ITB has helped make Berlin what it is today: one of the top three city destinations in Europe."
Sabine Wendt, CEO of visitBerlin: "Berlin is inspiring visitors this year with numerous cultural highlights, innovative show formats and new tourist attractions. That's exactly what we're showing at the 60th ITB. With 'Crafted in Berlin', we are also giving local manufacturers from Berlin's districts an international stage. At the same time, with the 'Travel for All' project, we are sending a clear signal for barrier-free tourism. In this way, we are presenting Berlin as a cosmopolitan, sustainable and future-oriented metropolis."
Annual highlights at the Berlin stand
In 2026, Berlin will once again be the venue for extraordinary experiences, international exhibitions and major events. The partners at the trade fair stand will be giving a preview of the upcoming highlights. Two museums will be focusing on French art: from 20 March to 9 August, the Neue Nationalgalerie will be presenting an exhibition of works by the sculptor Constantin Brancusi. From 22 May to 27 September, the Alte Nationalgalerie will dedicate an extensive special exhibition to art dealer Paul Cassirer. The Berlin stand will also offer a preview of the partial reopening of the Pergamon Museum with its famous Pergamon Altar in spring 2027.
Two show highlights will be presented at ITB: the breathtaking Cirque du Soleil show "Alizé", which is currently thrilling audiences at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, and the new hit production "Blinded by Delight" at the Friedrichstadt-Palast. At the tourism fair, Berlin will also be focusing on Ocean Berlin, a new marine park that will open in a few months, inviting visitors into a fascinating underwater world with a huge aquarium, a walk-through acrylic glass tunnel and six themed worlds of experience.
In addition to museums such as the Humboldt Forum and the Samurai Museum, as well as popular attractions such as Madame Tussauds, sightseeing providers and the Gardens of the World will also be presenting themselves at ITB to showcase Berlin's green diversity.
"Crafted in Berlin" – products from Berlin manufacturers
Following successful appearances at ITB 2025 and Green Week in early January, Berlin craft businesses and manufacturers from all twelve districts are once again bringing their creative, high-quality products to the tourism trade fair as part of "Crafted in Berlin". Just in time for ITB, three Crafted in Berlin manufacturing routes have been put together, which visitors can access via QR code directly at the exhibition stand or alternatively at visitberlin.de/de/crafted-in-berlin.
Travel for all
One of visitBerlin's key concerns is promoting barrier-free tourism in Berlin. At ITB, visitBerlin provides information on accessibility in Berlin and presents specific measures. Among other things, visitBerlin coordinates the "Reisen für Alle" ("Travel for All") project, which provides guests with reliable information on barrier-free offerings such as hotels, museums and attractions.
Sustainability as a matter of course
Sustainability is an integral part of Berlin's trade fair presence. Catering at the joint stand operates according to the highest sustainability standards and is certified by Sustainable Berlin. Advertising materials are used sparingly and are not newly produced. Some of the materials used at the stand are recyclable and will be handed over to a service provider for further processing after ITB.
