Berlin, 20 May 2009 This year Berlin has more representatives at IMEX than ever before! 31 Berlin exhibitors will travel to the renowned exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events in Frankfurt am Main. From 26 to 28 May 2009 they will promote the German capital as a meeting and convention destination. In total some 3,500 exhibitors from more than 150 countries will present their services to the professional visitors at IMEX.

The Berlin Convention Office (BCO) of Berlin Tourismus Marketing GmbH will present the German capital as a sub-exhibitor at the stand of the German Convention Bureau. The focus is on the anniversary "20 Years since the Fall of the Wall". This topic will be reflected in the presentations, films and posters of all 31 exhibiting Berlin hotels and venues.

Another highlight at this year's IMEX is the IMEX Politicians Forum 2009. International politicians and senior executives from the meeting industry will discuss the value and future of the global convention and event industry. For the first time, the CEO of Berlin Tourismus Marketing GmbH, Burkhard Kieker, and Heike Mahmoud, Director Conventions of BCO, will participate in the Politicians Forum.

The Berlin Convention Office will represent the convention metropolis Berlin at IMEX at the Germany stand – Hall 8, stand number F 100, stand 34/35.
