Berlin WelcomeCard: Europe’s Most Popular City Pass Offers New Versions and Touristic Attractions for 2016
Berlin, November 2015 Indispensable for visitors to Germany's capital: The Berlin WelcomeCard, Berlin’s official city pass, does not only include travel on all means of public transport but also discounts between 25 and 50 per cent at more than 200 tourist attractions. Since its launch over 20 years ago, the Berlin WelcomeCard has grown to become Europe’s most successful city pass. It comes with a practical guide with an overview of all the deals included as well as a map of Berlin and Potsdam and a plan of the city’s public transport system. The ticket issued and sold by visitBerlin can be bought at all six Berlin Tourist Information Offices. Discounts at more than 200 top attractions in Berlin
The city pass serves the needs of first-time and returning visitors equally well: High discounts at top attractions such as Berlin’s TV Tower, Zoo Berlin, or the DDR museum are included in the ticket. The Berlin WelcomeCard mirrors the diversity of Berlin’s highlights: The pass features new discoveries such as the Waldhochseilgarten Jungfernheide or Heimathafen Neukölln and classic, touristic offers such as musicals, tours on the river Spree, and city tours.
New in 2016: C/O Berlin, the Stasi Museum in Lichtenberg, and the interactive Game Science Center offer discounts.
Multi-day tickets from as little as €19.50
From 2016, the Berlin WelcomeCard can be used more flexibly and will be available in ten different versions: The Berlin AB version is available for one adult for 48 hours (€19.50), 72 hours (€27.50), and for five days (€35.50). In addition, the new four-day (€31.50) and six-day ticket (€41.50) will be available from 2016. The Berlin + Potsdam ABC version (including Schönefeld Airport) is available for 48 hours (€21.50), 72 hours (€29.50), and five days (€40.50) as well as for four days (€34.50) and six days (€45.50).
Family-friendly offer
Any number of children to the age of 6 and up to three children between the ages of 6 and 14 can accompany an adult at no extra charge on all AB and ABC tickets of the Berlin WelcomeCard. Good for families: Many touristic partners offer special discounts for children.
Berlin WelcomeCard Museumsinsel
The Berlin WelcomeCard Museumsinsel for one adult covers admission to all of the museums on Museum Island (special exhibitions excluded) and is available for 72 hours. The Berlin AB version costs €42.00; the Berlin ABC version, €44.00.
