Berlin, 3 June 2025 To mark Open Monument Day 2025, the former International Congress Centrum (ICC) Berlin is once again presenting itself as an open house under the motto "49h ICC" and offering special insights into the otherwise closed architectural icon. From 13 to 14 September, interested Berliners, guests of the city and fans of architecture and monuments will have the rare opportunity to view the halls, foyers and design details of the building in their original state. The design conference "Form/Future" will take place the day before for trade visitors. On the weekend of 13/14 September, more than 300 monuments in all districts of Berlin will also be open to the public as part of the Open Monument Day.

The programme builds on the great success of the first opening of the building on Open Monument Day in September 2023: Back then, around 30,000 visitors took the opportunity to visit the former congress centre free of charge. This year, guided tours and exhibitions will also be offered and other rooms will be opened that were not accessible in 2023, including Hall 2, the second largest hall in the ICC. Free time slot tickets for "49h ICC" will be available from July on the visitBerlin website. Interested parties can register in advance at visitBerlin.de/icc-newsletter to be informed in good time by email about the start of ticket sales.

The opening of the ICC Berlin under the motto "49h ICC" on the occasion of the Open Monument Day is a project of visitBerlin, made possible by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, organised in cooperation with the Berlin State Monument Office and Messe Berlin.
