World-class women’s football: Ticket sales for the women’s Champions League finale in Berlin

Berlin, 27 March 2015 The sports metropolis Berlin is looking forward to welcoming world-class women’s football to the city. By Sunday afternoon, the four semi-finalists of the women’s UEFA Champions League will be known. The two best teams will then face off in the final match to be held at Berlin’s Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark on 14 May 2015. Tickets for Berlin’s Champions League evening are available for €11 (discounted tickets for €7) at visitBerlin.com, by calling the Berlin Service Center at +49 (0)30 - 25 00 25, and in Berlin Tourist Information Offices.

Berlin football fans are hoping for an all-German final: Defending champion VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FFC Frankfurt are the last two German teams in the race for the title. The finale is the most important game before the Women’s World Cup, which will be held this summer in Canada.

Going into overtime on the football weekend

Since the final’s taking place on the Ascension Day holiday, visitors can plan an extended weekend in Berlin. Museums, restaurants, or other entertainment, everyone can find their personal highlight in the German capital. Those who would like to see more football will want to watch Hertha BSC competing against Eintracht Frankfurt on 16 May. Affordable travel packages are available at bahnhit.de, for example, four days in Berlin from 14 May including return travel from any German rail station, starting at €239 per person in double room (offered by Stadt und Land Reisen GmbH).
