The Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) and visitBerlin open the Kolonnaden Bar on Museum Island Berlin on 1 August
- Summer highlight: Kolonnaden Bar opens Thursdays to Saturdays from 4 to 10 p.m. between 1 August and 1 September 2024

Berlin, 25 July 2024 The Kolonnaden Bar is reopening: at one of the most beautiful locations in all of Berlin - on the edge of the historic Kolonnadenhof on the northern tip of Museum Island and directly on the Spree - there will once again be cool drinks, DJ sets and a cultural programme with selected guests from 1 August to 1 September 2024, Thursdays to Saturdays from 4 pm to 10 pm (Sunday until 8 pm).
Seating, bar tables and - most importantly - the bar will be spread out under the colonnades on the Spree side, creating an opportunity to linger. The idea of a place for stimulating conversations, relaxed get-togethers and good drinks has a long tradition on the Museum Island. As early as the end of the 19th century, a drinking hall opened under the colonnades on the Spree, which survived until the 1930s. This year, the seventh edition of the Kolonnaden Bar is dedicated to the theme of strolling.

‘Poetry Slam of the Flaneurs": Aidin Halimi, Alina Habert and Romy Kachel give visitors a chance to pause for half an hour. Rhyming, performing, humorous, energetic - all under the motto of the summer programme: ‘Strolling’. Stroll with us through the liveliest kind of literature that Berlin has to offer.
