The Scandinavian fleet’s new ultra-modern hybrid ferry Berlin is named after Germany’s capital city.
In May 2016, the Scandlines’ ultra-modern hybrid ferry Berlin went into regular service. This provided an ideal opportunity to join forces with our cooperation partner Scandlines to launch a series of B2C activities, including prize competitions, for southern Sweden.
In cooperation with Air Berlin/Etihad Airways, visitBerlin organised a roadshow in November for travel industry partners, with parallel Happy Hour events for tour operators and travel agencies. In the wake of the roadshow, the focus was on sales calls in Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö.
A series of editorial interviews in Stockholm und Göteborg, our participation in the in-depth exchange of views at the Göteborg Media Days, and 14 press trips for Swedish media representatives to Berlin generated attractive and widespread press coverage on Germany’s capital city in, for example, the major Swedish daily papers Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet.
