Berlin, 14 December 2012. New year, new highlights: in 2013, the Berlin WelcomeCard is offering a number of attractive discounts at over 200 Berlin attractions. New partners include the new Berlin Dungeon (opening early in 2013), the Asisi Berlin Wall Panorama and the Me Collectors Room.

My city break, my ticket – with new online features

The Berlin WelcomeCard is an all-inclusive, no-hassle package. Not only does it include a ticket for public transport, a city map and a travel guide, it also offers discounted entry to attractions at more than 200 partner companies in Berlin and Potsdam. Visitors can save 25-50% on entry to these attractions.

For example: choose a city tour, a visit to the Berlin Television Tower, the show at Friedrichstadt-Palast and the Berlin Zoo and save almost € 32. The "Partner of the Month" section features additional discounts at selected partner companies. New for this year: smartphone users can now get even more information directly from their mobile. Planning a city break or a holiday for the whole family? Now anyone visiting Berlin can find the right ticket for their trip with the new tool on visitBerlin.de. Just answer a few questions about your trip and the tool will suggest one of the eight WelcomeCard variants for you (from 48 hours to 5 days, tariff zones Berlin AB or ABC and the Berlin WelcomeCard Museum Island). The Berlin WelcomeCard can be ordered directly online. It is also available from the Berlin Tourist Information centres and airports, 350 hotels in the city, and the sales points and ticket machines of the BVG, Berlin’s transit authority, S-Bahn stations and stations run by German Rail (DB).

With around one million tickets sold each year, the Berlin WelcomeCard is Europe's most successful city card. According to a representative survey of visitBerlin users, 96 per cent of its customers are either satisfied or very satisfied with the product.
