New Berlin Tourist Infos at Tegel Airport and the TV Tower
Berlin, 22 May 2013 Passengers arriving at Tegel Airport should make the Berlin Tourist Info their first stop. The new Berlin Tourist Info has been welcoming tourists and business travellers and providing information about their stay in the capital since spring. Initial results: the new Berlin Tourist Info at Tegel Airport, which is centrally located in Terminal A at Gate 1, is the second busiest in the city after the information office in Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). It is open daily from 8am–9pm.
Burkhard Kieker, CEO of visitBerlin remarks: "The new Berlin Tourist Info at Tegel Airport ensures that visitors are well-informed upon landing in Berlin. visitBerlin is thus taking into account the increasing number of visitors to Berlin, who arrive via the busiest airport in the capital."
Previously, there was only an information desk at Tegel, which provided information about flights and the airport itself. The Berlin Tourist Info now adds significant support to the airport's service and provides visitors to Berlin with comprehensive advice right from the start.
In preparation for the tourist peak season from May to October, visitBerlin today opened a Berlin Tourist Infopoint on the ground floor of the Fernsehturm (TV Tower)—Berlin's tallest attraction, which attracts some 1.25 million visitors per year. In addition, visitBerlin operates three other Berlin Tourist Infos at Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), the Brandenburg Gate, and at Neues Kranzler Eck.
