Despite the difficult political situation in Turkey, Berlin recorded a 27.9% increase in overnight stays by Turkish visitors!

In Turkey in 2016, the highlight of our marketing activities came in June with an exclusive Press Trade Event in Istanbul. visitBerlin invited media, airline and tour operator representatives, as well as members of the Goethe-Institut and the German Consulate General, to join us in a suite in Soho House Istanbul for an event focusing on our BERLIN 365/24 campaign. We presented our marketing initiative to our assembled guests in a location decorated in keeping with the theme of the evening, and with an evocative musical interlude of piano and bass clarinet by Berlin musician Beatrix Becker.

The presence of the German capital city in the Turkish media was further supported by editorial visits throughout the country.
