Interview with Jasmin Haas, Director of Sales at Waldorf Astoria Berlin
In our series, we present partners in our Berlin Health Excellence initiative, their specialities and their work in the medical tourism sector. Today: Jasmin Haas, Director of Sales at Waldorf Astoria Berlin.
We are always on the look out for new opportunities for cooperation and [..] see considerable potential in the future, particularly with the development of the university heart centre.
In which areas does Waldorf Astoria Berlin deal with international patients and the persons accompanying them? And how are you personally involved?
My team and I serve as contact persons, connectors and organisers for both patients directly as well as for agencies who are specialised in medical stays. On international business trips we meet with targeted potential customers who we present our hotel to as a retreat for undisturbed rehabilitation programmes, while also conveying Berlin as one of the most important scientific locations.
What particular services does Waldorf Astoria Berlin offer international patients and their accompanying persons?
In addition to wheelchair-accessible rooms, our hotel also offers suites with an apartment character, which are particularly used by guests who stay with us for several months. As well as having their own kitchenette and lift, these offer a spectacular panoramic view over Berlin. Our team at the Guerlain Spa work together with doctors as required to guarantee precise completion of rehabilitation programmes such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Furthermore, our kitchen team is familiar with special dietary requirements and coordinates these with a trained ecothrophologist. Our personal concierges can take care of any other special requests guests may have while they assist them on an individual basis during their stay.
Are you planning new measures in the Medical Tourism sector? Can you share your vision with us?
We are always on the look out for new opportunities for cooperation in this field and gladly support new initiatives. We see considerable potential for the future, particularly with the development of the university heart centre at the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum.
