Berlin is ‘City of the Year’ at the Food and Travel Awards 2024
- International magazine ‘Food and Travel’ chooses Berlin as ‘City of the Year’

Berlin, 1 October 2024 The German capital Berlin received the ‘City of the Year’ award last night in London at the 2024 Food and Travel Awards gala. The award recognises the greatest cultural and culinary diversity among cities across Europe.

The bimonthly publication ‘Food and Travel’ by British editor Gregor Rankin has enjoyed great international recognition for 25 years now. In each issue, it takes its readers on a new culinary journey. And once a year, they vote for the best restaurants, chefs, hotels, destinations, tour operators, cruise lines and airlines, among other things. The best from the world of gastronomy, wine and travel is regularly honoured in a total of 23 categories.
