visitBerlin - Partner Events

This year's visitBerlin@dbb forum berlin 2025 took place on 28 May. 

visitBerlin@ is an annual information and networking event to which visitBerlin invites tourism service providers, partner hotels, cultural institutions, MICE partners and representatives of Berlin's economic development agencies and district associations. The aim is to highlight key developments, projects and opportunities for cooperation in Berlin's tourism sector and to promote exchange between partners.

The event will focus on:

• Insights into current and future projects by visitBerlin
• Presentation of the latest tourism figures and market developments
• Outlook on strategic measures and forecasts for the future

There is a particular focus on direct dialogue between participants. At the get-together afterwards, guests can network with employees from visitBerlin's specialist departments. At various themed counters, experts provide specific information on cooperation opportunities, measures and participation options.

Twice a year, visitBerlin Business Speed Dating brings together committed players from Berlin's tourism and events industry. Partner hotels, tourism providers, cultural institutions and representatives from the MICE industry and the districts are invited. In compact four-minute conversations, participants have the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Afterwards, a convivial get-together will provide an opportunity to continue conversations in a relaxed atmosphere and further expand your network of contacts.

The second Business Speed Dating 2025 event took place on 26 September at the Uber Arena, home of the Eisbären Berlin ice hockey team.

Berlin's most important tourism and MICE event of the year, the first Berlin Tourism & MICE Summit, took place on 15 November 2024 at the Gasometer on the EUREF campus. Find out more about the programme and speakers here. 

The event is set to become one of the most important industry platforms, promoting knowledge exchange and innovation in the events industry at a time of significant economic change in the city and growing international competition. 

Background:

The Berlin MICE Summit was the industry gathering for Berlin's meeting industry and, until recently, took place every two years. The event is designed as an open, creative and dialogue-oriented forum. In the open space format, the focus is on the concerns of the partners, with no presentations. It is organised by visitBerlin in cooperation with the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and DEHOGA Berlin. The event is intended to inform Berlin partners about trends, present new areas of activity,

jointly promote the positive development of Berlin and get to know each other. Review of Tourism Day 2019

This year, for the first time, both events were combined and took place under a new name.

Berlin MICE Summit 2022 - Review (only available in German)

The aim of the cooperation agreement between the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, the Berlin districts and visitBerlin is, among other things, to hold seminars on the topic of sustainability in tourism. The aim is to raise awareness and provide further training for those involved in tourism in Berlin. The primary goal is to make knowledge accessible so that city-friendly and sustainable tourism can be implemented jointly in Berlin.

The topic of sustainability is multifaceted and still unfamiliar to many, even though it is one of the most important issues of the future. Tourism is also a complex sector due to its multifaceted value chains and interfaces with other industries and policy areas. It is easy to lose track of the big picture.

Our series of events aims to make the topic accessible and show the dimensions in which we need to think and act in order to make tourism in Berlin more sustainable. 

Various event formats take place under the umbrella of Sustainable Berlin. Below you will find an overview of the events:

DEHOGA Berlin, visitBerlin and visitBerlin PArtnerhotels e.V. host an annual summer party. Numerous representatives from politics, business, the hotel industry and leisure attractions attend the event. After speeches by the hosts and the Governing Mayor of Berlin, there is a large networking event.

Market days, workshops, training courses and networking events are held regularly with our hotel partners. Meetings on the respective marketing pillars also take place.

We regularly hold Market Days and training events with our hotel, tourism and travel trade partners. visitBerlin issues the invitations for events where partners can learn about some current topic of interest. The talks at these events are given both by visitBerliners as well as by external speakers.

Since 2021, TourismusHub has been your central platform for the latest industry knowledge, digital training and interactive exchange. Our practical e-learning courses offer you quickly accessible knowledge on relevant topics. Information events provide you with insights into measures, challenges and opportunities relating to tourism in Berlin.
