Berlin, 3 March 2025 Berlin is presenting itself at the International Tourism Exchange in Berlin (ITB for short) as a popular city break destination and a vibrant, innovative and sustainable metropolis. The world's largest travel trade fair will take place this year from 4 to 6 March at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. visitBerlin will be represented at ITB Berlin 2025 as Berlin's destination management and marketing organisation. Together with TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), Berlin will have stand 304 in Hub27 under the umbrella of "The German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg".

Intercontinental tourism co-operation "One Small World"
Six months ago, Berlin, New York and Cape Town launched a new intercontinental tourism co-operation: "One Small World". Together, the three cosmopolitan cities want to address new target groups with innovative marketing activities and use international expertise to further develop city tourism in a future-oriented way. Following the successful launch in New York, "One Small World" is now celebrating its debut at ITB Berlin. To mark the occasion, a press event will be held on 4 March at 6 p.m. at Berlin stand 304. Accreditation is possible via presse@visitBerlin.de.
Annual highlights at the Berlin stand: 200 years of Museum Island, culture and districts with "Crafted in Berlin"
At stand 304 in Hub27, visitBerlin will be showcasing the exhibitions, events and offers that the capital region has to offer its guests in the coming months. The highlight of the year is the 200th anniversary of Museum Island. The foundation stone of the Altes Museum was laid in 1825 for Berlin's unique museum ensemble. The city is celebrating its UNESCO World Heritage Site for five years - starting with a variety of events in summer, such as an open-air festival on the weekend of 1 June and a Kolonnaden Bar, which invites visitors to linger in the atmospheric Kolonnadenhof from June to August
In addition to institutions such as the Humboldt Forum, the Friedrichstadt-Palast and the Chameleon Theatre, sightseeing providers and the Gardens of the World will also be showcasing Berlin's cultural and green diversity at ITB.
With the "Crafted in Berlin" campaign, visitBerlin, together with the twelve Berlin districts, is putting the spotlight on the diverse range of local products that are created in small Berlin craft businesses and manufactories - from perfume to chocolate. "Crafted in Berlin" invites visitors to discover the authentic stories behind the products and services
The pulsating nightlife of the German capital can be experienced in a dance suite, realised in cooperation with the Clubcommission Berlin. Guests can attend business meetings in a lounge atmosphere while a video installation presents Berlin's nightlife.

City partnership with Kiev: deepening tourism cooperation
The twin cities of Kiev and Berlin have been working more closely together in tourism for a year now. This cooperation will be further intensified at ITB Berlin in order to strengthen exchange and collaboration.
Travelling for all
A central concern of visitBerlin is the promotion of barrier-free tourism in Berlin. At the ITB, visitBerlin will provide information on the topic of accessibility in Berlin and present specific measures. For example, visitBerlin coordinates the "Reisen für Alle" ("Travelling for All") project, which provides guests with reliable information on accessible offers such as hotels, museums and attractions.
A sustainable appearance
Thinking events and sustainability together: visitBerlin is doing everything it can to ensure that the capital's visitor economy is fit for the future. At ITB 2025, Berlin's marketing organisation will be demonstrating how this can be done and implementing targeted measures around the trade fair appearance. These include cooperation with a sustainability-certified catering partner, an ITB app for networking that makes business cards superfluous, rental furniture and the use of materials that can be recycled, such as floor coverings. In addition, signs are made of reusable slate and chalk pens, thus protecting our environment. The stand is barrier-free accessible. The measures are based on visitBerlin's Sustainable Event Guidelines. These help event organisers to plan and implement their events sustainably. With success: in the international ranking of the Global Destination Sustainability Index, Berlin 2024 was ranked fifth among the world's most sustainable metropolises. Tips for a sustainable visit to Berlin can be found on the visitBerlin website.
